Yunho ~ With Just One Photo, The Product Goes Out Of Stock In Japanese Shopping Malls

TVXQ’s U-Know Yunho has showed off his image as a “Wan Pan Nam” (fashion trendsetter) in Japan.

Recently, Choi Hyo Je-ssi, who is famous as one of TVXQ’s dancers, revealed a vacation photo taken together with U-Know Yunho on his personal micro-blog twitter. In the photo, U-Know Yunho was wearing a unique leopard-print hooded T-shirt and pants. This outfit is a new product from Joyrich. After the photo was revealed, Japanese fans started to purchase the exact same outfit as U-Know Yunho. Eventually, on various Japanese online shopping malls such Sugar Online, HOOP-LOOP etc, the relevant product created a record by totally selling out, to the point where even similar-printed leggings and T-shirts also became sold out. It has become a sold-out situation merely due to just one photo.

Previously, TVXQ had created a record when its collaboration with 711 to create “cooperation products” resulted in a situation where the products were completely sold out in the early stages. They have risen to become “Wan Pan Nam”. Further, their 5th Japanese full-length album “TONE”, which went on sale in Korea recently, has also sold out in Korea’s Synnara Records etc, showing off their unchanging popularity.

Jung Yunho: Part one of a Duet

People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the

darkness sets in their true beauty is revealed if there is light from within-Elizabeth Kubler-Ross

The video for the first K chart win for Keep Your Head Down on Music Bank can still be seen on YouTube. Standing silently perhaps unaware of the noise around him, what we see is a serious Yunho standing next to Changmin. Arms in front of him, the hosts next to him saying the numbers for the K Chart, the crowd cheering, Yunho was a painting of uncertainty. You could tell he was expecting something else than winning. He was ready to set himself to walk away and begin another day. Suddenly, he heard TVXQ wins on Music Bank. That face that was so far away suddenly appeared to be alive with a smile, a smile that made you follow suit. At this moment, a silent realization forms. This is the Jung Yunho, the leader of TVXQ that we cannot help but admire. In those few seconds we saw why we cannot help but respect the man that is more than just a dancer and singer in the K Pop world; he is a humble and selfless human being.

Children always have the most clean and immense dreams. Time provides us with the elements to find more about our own personalities. It would start very soon for Jung Yunho. In 8th grade he was part of a dance Team named A+. We can only imagine how he enthusiastically danced along with friends who to this day share memories with each other. Yunho is part of TVXQ but there has always been an essence to Yunho that is quite simple. There is an aura that emanates from him now as a man on stage. He exudes charisma, power and assurance. All of these traits are part of his personality we know but even now as the person he is widely known for, he still visits and shares time with the friends he once shared the same dream with. The ones that remind him that he is still that goofy, protective and selfless country boy from Gwangju.

He started SM auditions in junior high for the SM Best Junior contest. What stood out the most from a young kid who was leaving everything behind to follow a feeling, a small dream was the sheer determination to do what he was set out to do. When in Seoul he had his audition however the first day in a city he was getting a culture shock from he ran into some hoodlums, “I prepared a CD then, but they took it away, I was beaten up but kept begging at least do not take the CDs! You can hit me but do not take the CDs!” Anyone else would have just given everything up but that small struggle showed just how resilient Yunho can be. His resolve and blunt character is also one that can be seen when he reached the auditions. He arrived and he saw the judges were cutting everyone down to 10-15 seconds max for singing and dancing. So you had to show your best in those few seconds to impress the people who could either open another door or shut it to try again. We can only imagine a blunt Yunho stepping in to start his audition looking at the judges saying the following, “Once it was my turn I sang, I love you, no it is not enough and bowed and said Thank you. They asked why did you stop. I said you’re going to stop it anyway”. The same attitude was for his dance routine. At this point if they were not looking at him with some kind of interest anyone else would have been intrigued. Luckily enough they saw the spark in this young boy and decided to bring him on board. Despite being beaten up and getting his CD taken away, being away from home, being alone in a huge city he made it into SM. Trainee life would start but that doesn’t mean everything was flowers and roses, it was a time where he would be challenged in every way.

An inevitable fact presents itself in that when we migrate to another country or city there are certain things we have to learn. Sometimes we have to change how we do things on a daily basis. Yunho, coming from the country had to adapt to Seoul. One of those intricacies would be his dialect. Also, not being under his parent’s care anymore he would have to earn money somehow to support himself therefore he took part time jobs to be able to live, often sleeping in train stations or parks. He was growing up, learning, and also facing many hardships on his own. It might not have been easy but this is a side of Yunho anyone can relate too, just working to make our dreams happen.

It all might have started as a small dream. Time allows us to expand them, make them flourish. Dreams might be too much of a fluffy word but it starts as something small, a cloud perhaps. Our determination, passion and energy makes that very small cloud expand into a sky that is now clear and worth of watching. It rains every now and then but part of living is seeing how much fortitude and willingness we have within ourselves to see the end result.

Yunho went through the SM program for trainees, made it into TVXQ and with time proved to be an overall achiever. Not only was he succeeding with TVXQ as one of the best dancers but he was giving away scholarships, giving advice to his juniors and taking care of those around him. Many times he has said that the effort of all of the staff is what makes everything happen. Yunho is a person that knows that behind TVXQ is a mass of great people that also have talents of their own to make everything happen. This goes from the person driving you to your next photo shoot to the person actually handling that expensive camera. It is this side of Yunho that every fan appreciates and admires. So much so that he inspires those around him to work hard.

This leads me to a trait that Yunho has that is very admirable. Once on Music Japan, Changmin was asked what kind of animal he would compare Yunho too? His response to that was a tiger. We can see that in the way Yunho nurtures, cares and protects TVXQ. By protecting TVXQ it is not just the name itself but the people that make it what it is. He cares and looks out for his friend and the other half of TVXQ, Shim Changmin. This was a part of Yunho that showed early on. When a fight broke out on his school grounds he put himself in the middle to try to break up the fight or to try to let them see some kind of sense. There will be times where our protection and care is not enough. At times certain things happen that can make us wonder where we might have failed. When did everything slip from my fingers, when just seconds ago we had a firm grip on what we were trying to desperately salvage. This became a situation Yunho had to face unfortunately, “I may be through many trials and tribulations in the future, and I may sometimes become depressed, the current Yunho is because of all of your support. Even during sad, happy, or difficult days, I think I will be able to do my best even more, thinking about all of your support.” It is an element that Yunho has always presented, the one that he can make it but the support from other people who wish him the best is what makes him shine, the ones that love and care for him.

He can be very open, even when his persona is a manly one. A person that is blunt but mixed in with all of his intricacies lies a man that despite his own storyline of hardships his heart and mind are open to the world. We can catch glimpses of it and it makes you smile at the fact that this man who never gives up despite pain, despite doubt, he keeps marching forward. He is only human and of course there might be times when he feels out of bounds. The most extraordinary of things is that he appreciates everything from the smallest to the most important. Everything is part of the big picture. Everyone is important; every thought deserves to be heard. All of these traits mold themselves into who Jung Yunho has become and is becoming.

Yunho has led TVXQ up until now with care, humility and love. Not only has this country boy from Gwangju managed to be one of the most admired people for being a leader, being a great dancer and a baritone voice that makes one want to hear more, he has become someone that not only enjoys what he does but teaches as he walks the timeline of life. We can’t help but appreciate those that give and learn. Yunho keeps evolving and I hope many will be right behind him waiting for him to unveil what else he has to share with all of us. There is still so much to take in from him. A selfless leader, honest friend, fighter, and a man that with just one laugh makes you feel that all the worries in the world might just not be as big as you once thought, this is Jung Yunho.

TVXQ Trio, "Very painful, reaching the point where we wanted to give up everything"

On the 5th ~ 6th of this month, at the fanmeet which was held in Osaka, Japan, the TVXQ trio Xiah Junsu, Hero Jaejoong and Micky Yoochun said, “The year of 2009 was a painful one, reaching the point where we wanted to give up everything.” It’s the first time that they mentioned about their feelings on the dispute with SM Entertainment about their contract.

Micky Yoochun, who was at Osaka’s Kyocera Dome to meet with the Japanese fans, said, “In 2009 I was always bored at home, not keeping in contact with anyone. Really felt like wanting to give up everything.” “It is all thanks to the encouragement from the members and the fans support that I can once again challenge myself. I will work harder in the future.”

Hero Jaejoong also said, in Japanese, “Even though we would really like to personally convey the truth and our thoughts to the fans, but we cannot do that, and it makes us feel very painful.” “I feel very happy to be able to see the fans once again. Please take more care in the future, everyone.” After all of them poured out their hurt and their innermost feelings, the 3 members sang “I Have Nothing”, “For You” and other songs, and they were also tearing up.

That day’s fanmeet is the TVXQ trio’s first official stage as a new unit. Although the individual activities of the 3 members have been official, however, the court dispute with SM is still ongoing, both sides unwilling to give in.

After the Osaka fanmeet, the TVXQ trio will hold another fanmeet at the Tokyo Dome on the 12th ~ 13th of June.

Tohoshinki Sheds Their Tears at Kyocera Dome with 46,000 Audience Members

The three members of popular group Tohoshinki - JeJung, YuChun, JunSu - kicked off their Dome tour at Osaka Kyocera Dome on the 5th.

It's been almost 5 months since JeJung and YuChun stood on stage. It's the first live for the trio. They created a new record for the venue with 46,000 audiences attended, making it the largest number of audiences at Kyocera Dome. At that venue, in the midst of the audience's cheering, being overwhelmed with emotion, JeJung said in tears, "We were very worried and insecure when we were planning for this live. We wondered if fans would come to see us…. But I'm glad now." JunSu also got teary and said, "I'm very glad that a lot of you came." In total, they sang 18 songs with enthusiasm. Amongst the 18 songs, there are 4 new songs; and one is called "Itsudatte Kimi ni" (To you, always), whose release date is undecided.

Since last July, the trio has been on a legal dispute with their Korean agency regarding their contracts. After holding many conferences, they have come to a bitter decision to stop Tohoshinki's activities indefinitely. YuChun even said that he wanted to retire as a singer. However, thanks to the warm words of encouragement by fans, he regained himself and was able to stand on his feet again.

The concert of this Dome tour is to express their gratitude towards fans. In the end, YuChun said in tears, "We decided to continue singing to express our gratitude towards fans." JeJung also said while weeping, "We want to bring you smiles."

Alexander from U-Kiss on TVXQ, "They can never be replaced because they're just too good"

U-Kiss' Press Conference in Malaysia

(omitted)

When asked what they think about ever replacing TVXQ, Alexander humbly answered, "We really adore TVXQ, they are our sunbaes (seniors). They're still the strongest group in Asia, and we set them as our target. They can never be replaced because they're just too good."

Kim JaeJoong: "We Are Still TVXQ."

Kim JaeJoong, "As time passes by, we are now being called 'JYJ' and 'TVXQ'. Using the initial of each members' names means that we are having activities as JYJ within TVXQ. Never have the thought of wanting to shake off as TVXQ. We are still TVXQ, and I don't like being referred to as 'former member of TVXQ'."

[TRANS] 111019 JYJ's Message During the 1st Day of the Concert & SBU

JJ: How was our performance? Are you all enjoying it? Are you enjoying it from the bottom of your heart? Those sitting in the back, too! We cannot see some of you from this place. Can you please shout aloud? We heard that there are those who couldn't get into this venue, we are sorry, so we will catch your feelings from here. Well, can we first go down? It's a little bit scary.
YC: Thank you very much.
JJ: Well…when we sung the ballad some minutes before, everyone changed the color of the stick lights. Thank you very much.
YC: Thank you very much.
JJ: Previously, in the live concerts in Korea and also in Kokugikan, everyone gave us this present and we were very touched. This time, I didn’t think you will do it. We were very impressed, thank you very much. So, we will go back to the main stage. Yes, I know. But if we go back to the main stage, the fans sitting in the back can see us better. Well, the Kokugikan charity event was not an image of our live concert, it was an event. But, this time in Ibaraki, we are happy that we could hold our own JYJ live concert, and we would like to convey our deep emotions to all of you. We would like to say our comments at the main stage.

JJ: We will climb upwards. Yes, starting here…oh, now it's quiet…We would like to convey our feelings that at last we JYJ could hold a live concert here, of our happy feelings, this shall be our honest time. Let's start from Junsu-san.
JS: Should I be the first one to start?
YC: Please
JS: Yes..ah..this kind of talk is the most difficult for me. Well, everyone should know that we want to meet all of you in Japanese concerts, TV programs, and events from 2 years ago, but we cannot deal with some of the incidents, and every time, everyday, we felt sorry to you fans. But at last, on this stage today, we are able to meet all of you. We are very delighted and also happy, I think that the power for us to continue is here. I am able to feel that once more here. I am really grateful. I could only say this word, Thank you very much. Thank you very much.
YC: Am I the next? Thank you very much. Well… haa…we were having rehearsals until this morning, and the 3 members thought at the same time that we would like to release single CDs and albums in Japan.. it wouldn't matter if we aren't included in the Oricon chart, we want to hold activities in Japan again, sing Japanese songs on the stages, together with all of you. We long for those days..this is the same as Junsu, we are sorry that we aren't able to be active in Japan, we are really sorry. Well, before we were on stage today, we were checking everyone's reactions, hearing your voices, I thought "Oh, JYJ. We are still alive". I think it is the sake of all of you. Thank you very much!
JJ: Yes. All of us members conveyed our true feelings. I don't know if we can say in addition, but as Junsu has said, and Yoochun and I feel the same, we are thinking every time we come to Japan "Thank you very much" "We are very sorry" "We are able to stand here thanks to all of you", and we are saying those words many times. The reason is because everyone passionately supported us from the time we were rookies, even in these uncertain circumstances, you give it all to us. So we are saying "Thank you very much" and "We are very sorry".
There are many Korean artists who are coming to Japan now, we envy them. Those artists come to Japan full of hope, and are making a challenge to the new world. We also hold such hope, our true feelings are fulfilled to the limit, we thank all of you here, and we are grateful and satisfied as of now. But for the current 3 members' situation, we are thinking about what will happen in the future? And as Yoochun said, what will become of our Japanese activities? But we know that should do our best. We are worrying if your supports may cease, so we are envious of all the Korean artists making their debut in Japan. But from now on, oh, we are a little bit older than those artists, but we would like to meet you with a new song, holding feelings as if we are still rookies, and do our best in front of you. We would like to show you our unchanged style of the 3 members. Please believe in us. This is my last word. Thank you very much.
I think we've conveyed our gratitude, maybe it is not enough, but we think we were able to convey a little bit of them. And here, we are sorry to say that this will be the last song. We are sorry.
From the Tohoshinki days, there are many who have supported us…there are more than 100 songs that we've sung. We want to sing them here, we want to show them to you, but we cannot do so, so we are very sorry. We know that you understand our feelings of singing songs that you don't know here. In yesterday's rehearsal, the 3 members thought for once, we might try to sing the song. Is it OK? This is really an ad-lib, we haven't talked about this matter beforehand…
You should know this song. Kimiha dokoniite~ One, two, three..
All: Kimiha dokoniite, dareto dokoniite, donna fukuwo kite, nanishite waratterundarou
JJ: Thank you very much.
YC: Embarrasing....
JS: Embarrasing…
YC: Even now, when we are riding on the VAN, we sometimes hear the previous Tohoshinki's songs in our ipods. Yes.
JJ: Yes, there were many lovely songs. Well, we don't know if we could make better songs than these, but we would like to make a lot of songs that will support your heart, and perform the songs in front of you. So, the last song, please hear "In Heaven".

TVXQ’s Yunho & Changmin pose with a puppy

One of TVXQ’s back dancers shared two photos of Yunho and Changmin playing with a poodle.

While Yunho poses by holding the puppy up in the air, Changmin can be seen carefully cradling it against his chest. Fans are guessing that the pictures were taken right before the boys headed on stage for a performance on April 14th.

Netizens commented, “They must miss their own pets”, “Let’s respect the puppy’s right to privacy”, and “For one day, I just want to be your puppy!”

Jaejoong’s hair takes a life of its own in Taiwan!

JYJ just finished the Taiwan leg of their 2011 world tour, and fans caught a funny moment on camera when Jaejoong’s hair literally stood straight up!

In the video below, you’ll see Jaejoong’s hair stand up (presumably due to static electricity). Although it seems like he’s aware of the problem, but he continued to perform and remained professional throughout the performance.

Check out the video for yourself on youtube!

TVXQ shares their childhood dreams

The duo of TVXQ recently guested on SBS E!TV’s “Cultwo Show” and reflected back on their childhood dreams.

Changmin revealed, “Because I wanted to see baseball games for free, I dreamt of becoming a sports journalist.” Yunho revealed that he wanted to become a prosecutor and that he had always enjoyed Cultwo’s songs when he was younger.

Other topics discussed on the show ranged from Cassiopeia ranking in the “Guiness Book of Records” for being the largest fanbase to their expanding activities in both the singing and acting fields.

Check out the full broadcast on April 27th at 9 PM KST.

JYJ’s Junsu wows with karaoke live of Secret Garden’s “That Man”

On May 14th, JYJ’s Junsu performed “That Man” off of the “Secret Garden” OST at his home in Paju in celebration of parent’s day.

Immediately after his performance, the singer began ranking in at the top of portal site searches and received an explosive response amongst netizens and fans alike. Junsu had previously been chosen as the #1 vocal talent amongst idol groups in a survey with 10 vocal trainers, so his talent shouldn’t come as a surprise.

A representative of JYJ revealed, “In celebration of parent’s day, Junsu visited his parent’s home in Paju and sang this song at the bar in the basement. He hasn’t seen ‘Secret Garden’ but he always liked the songs and often hummed along.” How the clip was released is unknown.

Netizens praised, “Definitely the #1 most talented idol”, “So emotional”, “His talent will never change”, and “How can he be so good with just a karaoke machine?”

TVXQ members confess their biggest complexes

TVXQ’s Yunho confessed that the left and right sides of his face are different.

On the May 14th broadcast of KBS 2TV’s “Entertainment Weekly“, Yunho chose his face as his complex. He stated, “The left side is masculine whereas the right side is feminine” and proceeded to pose both sides to the camera to prove his statement.

Changmin, who also guested on the program, also confessed, “I’m worried about my hair. I have too much hair, so that’s my complex.”

Meanwhile, Yunho and Changmin were also asked to choose between ‘handsome’ and ’sexy’ as a compliment. Changmin stated sensibly, and selfishly, ‘handsome & sexy’.
